Maschera e abbandono sono i temi di quest'Opera. Le maschere , il vestirsi , il cambiamento è necessario per condurre una vita onesta a scapito della libertà privata di identità.
Onore e rispetto sono la base per il confronto della vita pubblica "performance", in " Cavalleria Rusticana ", l'onore e il rispetto sono le maschere pubbliche del popolo.
La religione è realmente presente in questa opera , ma è una religione debole. Non è mosso da una fede sincera , ma piuttosto si trasferisce dalla leggenda e mito, come una credenza voodoo. L'intera esistenza dei personaggi si sviluppa ai piedi della montagna-organo, simbolo di un legame con la terra intrinseco ad una religione pagana.

Mask and abandonment are the themes of this Opera. The masks, the dress up the change is necessary to lead a righteous life at the expense of the freedom of private identity.
Honor and respect are the basis for the comparison of performance in public life, in "Cavalleria Rusticana", honor and respect are the public masks of the people.
Religion is really present in this work, but it is a weak religion. It is not moved by a sincere faith, but rather moves from legend and myth, like a voodoo belief.
The entire existence of the characters lies at the foot of the organ-shaped mountain, a symbol of a bond with the earth whichis intrinsic to a pagan religion.
